Page Mill

The first painting here was a joy to work with. I walked toward a water tower to find these glowing trees. I sat down, put on some music, and sketched away. I had enough energy after to do another one, so I drove down towards a picnic site. Once I got started on the second one, a group mosquitoes and a few wasps came over my way to harass me. I didn't have anything to swat at them except for my other painting. So there I was mumbling curse words and getting up from my area to swat at bees. I nailed a couple of them. From a distance, I saw a man with his dog looking at me, wandering what the hell I was swatting at. It's just another crazy artist.

I love the painterly strokes your using to capture these landscapes. Seems like you attacked it head on. Feels very honest. Luck you didn't get stung.
