Mendocino

Last weekend, I participated in a watercolor/gouache workshop in Mendocino. Erik Tiemens was instructing the workshop and it was a blast! If you ever get a chance to go up to the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area, you will not be disappointed. In my opinion, the area has some of the most beautiful beach and cliff areas that California has to offer. The coast up there has a different look and feel than down south. It was neat to see trees shaped by the winds and areas that were worn by weather. In regards to these sketches, the first one here was the last sketch of the workshop. I studied my sketch notes and then worked from memory. The other two are quick sketches, maybe 20 minutes, that were done from life. Enjoy!
