Peacock girl and A.P.E.!

Here are some sketches from tonight's session. The model had a huge, beautiful tattoo of a peacock on her side. I couldn't help but incorporate it almost all of the sketches. It felt great to get back and sketch from life again. I feel like I'm knocking off rust my artistic soul.

Also, in more important news, my wife and I will have a table at Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco on October 16th-17th. The event will be held at the Concourse. I just received a proof for my new book Wired and it looks awesome! The book consists of 100 spreads from my sketchbooks. I am very proud of this book and I hope you will come by to check it and the rest of our stuff out. We are at table 456 under the name Live Lines. We will have books, prints, original sketches, and my wife's lovely sculpts for sale, as well. Hope to see you there!

Hey, I think I've drawn this model too! That tattoo sure is something, isn't it? Hope I can make it up to APE this year, I'd love to check out your book.

Wow where is that model from? I would love to get in touch with her to possibly use her for a series...

Rob- All it takes is a little push in a shape to make a design that much better. I would love to see what you did with them. In regards to the book, I'll put up a store on my blog soon and the book will be on there. Thanks for checking in!

Zach- It's always great to see how others portray models. Nice job! I hope to see you at APE, as well.

Sergio- I'm not sure where the model is from, but if I happen to see her again, I'll find out if it's possible to get her for a private commission. I could see why you would want to use her for a series. By the way, I'm selling the book for $20. See you soon!

Eli- I'm glad that I've inspired you. That means a lot to me. Your recent post is awesome. Bring your class to APE. You should get a table for next year. You'd kill it there!
